Sylestia is a browser game and social network. The main game is similar to JumpStart's Neopets, where players create a create a creature known as Sylesti and a character to take care of said Sylesti. The main goal is to gain trust in towns you discover, make friends, battle and slay the dragon of Sylestia. Players can add other users as friends, battle each other and talk while there are online. There are many accessories to boost a Sylesti's stats by a few points
Social features in the game include SylestiMail (renamed to private mail), which is an advanced email client that offers basic HTML formating and Flash animations. There are forums and chatrooms which allow users to openly chat with other users while the admins are on duty, when they are off duty. Additionally, a trading system which allows players to set up "Markets" where players can trade items. The players' "About Me" boxes allow them to add HTML and Flash ActionScript to tell people about themselves.
