A horrific demon boar has attacked the village of Emishi, leaving prince Ashitaka to put his all into slaying it. But with the demon's last breath, he curses the arm of Ashitaka, giving him demonic powers at the price of chipping away at his life. Trying to find a cure for this curse, he travels to Tatara, the Iron Town, where he finds an even bigger problem. Lady Eboshi has been causing an issue with deforestation and Princess San, alongside the spirits of the forest, are standing in her way. Man versus nature begins to erupt while Ashitaka only wishes to bring peace between the two while trying to fight back the new demon inside him. This beautiful Studio Ghibli film has a lot to do with forest spirits, like My Neighbor Totoro, and brings its own unique feel to the other films.
